India Generosity Run

The GivingTuesday India Generosity Run gives people an opportunity to express solidarity with one another, an occasion to celebrate our freedom with gratitude to the Father of the Nation for his tireless efforts and follow his message to care for fellow citizens who are yet to experience freedom from poverty! It combines the quest for fitness for oneself with a desire to champion causes and be a change-maker! The run aims for runners to collectively cover the distance of 79,000 kilometres that Gandhiji walked for India’s freedom.

The run is open to everyone: adults and children above 10 years of age, those anywhere in India and abroad, regardless of their nationality!

Runners need to register on the Click2Race site before Sep 25. Runners can choose their category depending on whether they want an e-certificate, medal and t-shirt. There is no minimum or maximum distance that needs to be covered. From every registration depending on the category for the run chosen by the runner in the online registration form, Rs 50/ Rs75/ Rs100/ US $10 will go to an NGO of the runner’s choice.

Participants can choose an NGO they wish to support (from a list of NGOs vetted by GuideStar India) and run/ jog/ walk/ move in a wheelchair, at their own location (home, neighbourhood, gym, park, treadmill) at their own time and pace between Oct 2 & 6, using any App, and send the screenshot of their running app for verification to the race manager by the end of Oct 6, 2020.
