Plogging is a combination of jogging with picking up litter. India Plog Run is an initiative by United Way India under it’s Environmental Sustainability vertical to promote an eco-friendly way of living. Last year, the World’s biggest Plog Run on Oct 2, put Bengaluru centre stage with 7000 people picking up 33 tons of plastic waste. This year India Plog Run plans to put India centre stage on October 2, with 2.5 lakh people in 50 cities picking up tons of plastic waste in an effort to pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on his 150 birth anniversary.
