JOY OF READING – “JoR”

Like every year, we at Pratham Education Foundation are keen to participate in the biggest festival of giving in India. This year, we are celebrating the ‘Joy of Giving’ week with ‘Joy of Reading’, or simply “JoR”! We want to share this joy with children across 12,000+ communities in India with whom we are reaching out remotely against the backdrop of the pandemic and prolonged school closures and keep them safe and engaged. Here is how one can participate in this initiative and extend their support in celebrating the Joy of Reading:

a. Show a little JoR – Read a favourite story/poem, but with a twist!
Pick up the favourite story/poem and read a favourite excerpt while standing and balancing on one foot or by holding to a plank! This fun activity needs to be shared with friends and family by tagging them on social media, and mentioning Pratham as well as #DaanUtsav in their post.

b. Gift a little JoR – Donate towards spreading the Joy of Reading to children
We will introduce donation options with the activity through our platforms and #DaanUtsav by introducing a dedicated landing page for the same.

c. Spread a little JoR – Share the sentiment and spread the joy
Be a part of the movement of sharing the Joy of Reading with children. Tag us and share this message on your social media platforms.
