The pandemic due to Covid 19 virus has brought havoc everywhere. Even the kids of this tribal village Godibari haven’t been spared. But we now know that we have to live with such situation for a long time.
Since the schools are closed, scores of young children were roaming in the village aimlessly without doing anything and without any awareness on Covid 19. They do not have access to online education. We started a mission of getting the kids, from class one to class x to educate them about Covid 19, providing them with masks, soaps etc. What is really important is that we have started conducting classes on fundamental English and Math with the help of volunteers. And more than 50 kids are attending the same. While we are having outdoor sessions with social distancing, use of mask and maintaining basic hygiene are being followed by them and us. We are imparting education as a part of Joy of giving.
