Social Innovation Summit

Short Summary: The Centre for Social Impact and Philanthropy is convening the first Social Innovation Summit in order to catalyse the adoption of innovations within the sector, with the larger aim to help improve the impact of the social sector. The Summit will be held on 4th and 5th October 2019 at Hyatt Regency, Mumbai. The summit is conceptualised as an annual event to galvanise innovation in philanthropy and social change. It’ll bring together Innovators (‘Thinkers’), social sector practitioners (‘Doers’), and philanthropists (‘Enablers’) to share emergent thinking, knowledge, and practice, spark innovation, and foster collaborations with a laser focus on how we can apply innovations to augment the value chain of social sector organizations and thus help address India’s social problems.

Day 1 – 4th October 2019
1) Keynote by Asha Curran (CEO, #GivingTuesday) on 4th October
2) Donor Side Focussed Panel discussions on Fundraising and Communication, Operations and M&E, and People and Capacity Building on 4th October
3) Fireside chat with philanthropists – An informal session
4) Networking Dinner

Day 2 – 5th October 2019
1) Keynote by Osama Manzar (Founder Director, Digital Empowerment Foundation)
2) Workshops by IDR, Sattva, Dasra and GlobalGiving
3) Implementer side focussed panel discussions on Fundraising and Communication, Operations and M&E, and People and Capacity Building on 5th October
4) Exhibition by ecosystem and social sector organizations
