We invite Volunteers to be a part of our Classroom “Read-a-Way”Library Program in Government Schools, in Chennai and Kancheepuram districts, with the goal of creating independent learners.We would like to equip children with the most wonderful of teachers – books,books and more books – and the stories and worlds within them. When given beautiful,colourful books bursting with interesting stories and facts,children respond enthusiastically.The latest research shows that reading for pleasure improves vocabulary,reading comprehension and thinking skills.We would like volunteers to do storytelling sessions in the classes with our books and encourage children to read more.
