Chai pe Charcha with Refugees

At PUNYA, we believe in the idea of gifting without waste. Therefore, instead of sending a full box of sweets, we propose sending a few sweets as a token for the purpose of ‘Muh Meetha Karana’. This helps us curb waste, protect one’s health, and respect our traditions at the same time. The money saved on the box of sweets is donated to an NGO of the sender’s choice in the name of the recipient. One such NGO on our platform is Ishwar Seva Foundation, that manages a large colony of makeshift homes for refugees who fled religious persecution in Pakistan. PUNYA will organise a Chai pe Charcha to acquaint those who attend the event with what these refugees have gone through, their struggles and how they are currently making ends meet and looking forward to a brighter future in India. The event presents a chance to interact with the refugees first hand which will enable a deeper understanding of their problems. All of this will happen while sipping some hot tea!
